Eduardo Medina & his border collie Kali played their first K9 Frisbee League season five years ago in the Summer Down Under 2019 season with the Mexico City Club, the first League Club in Mexico.

“Kali was our first of the 8 border collies that we’ve now had,” said Eduardo who goes by the nickname “Comando Harris” here on Facebook.

During Covid, the Mexico City Club morphed into the Ajusco Club, also in Mexico City, and it became the new home for Eduardo and Kali. Kali also teamed up with Ennovi, Eduardo’s daughter to become one of the top Junior Teams in Mexico.

What was once the center of the Aztec Empire, Mexico City is today the 6th largest metropolitan area in the world. To help make League more convenient for disc doggers on eastern part of this huge city, Eduardo stepped up to Captain Frisbee Oriente, a new League Club that began last year and has been slowly growing into one of the top Clubs in the world.

Kali, who is now 10 years old and retired from the game, was the dog that started Captain Comando on his League journey and is the dog that is now honored on the 90:/5 March 2024 Season patch.

“Although she’s old now, when Kali sees the frisbee she still gets crazy to play, but she It does not have a battery anymore so, for her well-being it is better to retire her in time and continue giving her a good, heathy life.”
